BBC apologizes to Eccleston

The BBC is apparently apologizing for several things said to the press in the announcement that Christopher Eccleston was leaving Doctor Who after one season. Apparently Eccleston had only planned to for season, and the Beeb knew it but had agreed not to reveal that fact, which it ended up doing – without talking to him first.

too bad since he’s doing a good job of it…
i dig his version of the doctor. dunno anything about this david tennant dude they are talking about replacing him but i think eddie izzard (who they are also considering) would be an amazing fit with all of his eccentricities. here’s hoping.
