THE WORLD?S FIRST REAL SCI-FI RADIO STATION – AREA 51 RADIO STATION

Broadcasting every day and night from http://www.area51radiostation.com.

It is not everyday you can claim a world?s first. We can. On Saturday 15th October at 12 noon, UK time the world?s first real sci-fi radio station goes on air on line.

A very special guest will open the station. At 12 noon on Saturday 15th October, Doctor Phlox from Star Trek Enterprise (John Billingsley) will open the station. That is the signal to begin the celebration. Our listeners will have the opportunity to win some GREAT prizes including Star Wars light sabres, Doctor Who and Star Trek DVDs and loads more. There will be an interview with a member of the cast of Stark Trek Enterprise. This person will also be doing something unexpected! We will also talk with the convention organiser of the London Movie Expo and discover what we can expect to find at the event

There will be thrilling sci-fi shows every week. Every Monday from 6 until 9 pm UK time there is Hangar 18. We will investigate UFO sightings and subjects such as crop circles. You can interact by sharing your thoughts on the subject. Every Wednesday from 6 until 9 pm there is reviewed with Stuart Claw. He will review comics, graphic novels and sci-fi shows. Email him with your thoughts about Star Trek, Doctor Who and other top sci-fi shows. Throughout the week on other shows there will be regular sci-fi gossip and loads more.

We are in the middle of the action the weekend after launch day. Area 51 will broadcast live from the London Expo movie event, which takes place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October. We will talk to the stars of the convention and our listeners can win great prizes as we play some exciting games. Hear it all live by clicking http://www.area51radiostation.com

In November, we are looking for ghosts. Join Graham Philpot and the ghost watch team for an eerie show as they descend upon a haunted area. They will have one aim. Find a ghost.

All this to a background of the greatest hits from the 70?s to the current day.

This is just the beginning. There is so much more to come from Area 51 radio station.

GET YOUR CONVENTION, EVENT OR BUSINESS NOTICED.

Increasingly there are more conventions and business selling sci-fi related products. The idea is to get yours noticed above the rest. AREA 51 can do anything from advertise your convention on a weekly basis to broadcasting live from your event as we are doing on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October for the London movie event at the London Excel Centre.

The level you wish to go at is down to your budget and the amount of people you want to get through to. The alternative is to advertise in a sci-fi magazine. Costs vary from between ?2,300 for a full page to ?200 for quarter of a page. The problem is that the adverts are tucked away at the back of a magazine and you can?t guarantee that people will read yours. If you have a commercial on the radio, our listeners have to hear it because they know a great piece of music follows it or that there is an exciting sci-fi item next. In addition, if your commercial plays say, 10 times a day that is 70 times a week your message really will get through. Our stream as well as being on our site will be other web sites such as ign.com, which receives 250,000 hits a month.

As a launch offer we are saying that if you take advertising with us during our first month on air, (the deadline is November 15th) we will keep all further advertising costs for you the same as in the launch offers for eight months. This offer will not be there for companies advertising after this date, as the special offers will be gone. Therefore, for what you will have to paid in a magazine we will give you advertising which is more frequent and therefore heard more often.

Also, bear in mind that we are expecting more listeners for the live broadcasts from the London Expo on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October. Wouldn?t it be GREAT if they heard commercials for your business? If you run a convention, tune in and hear the extra dimension we could bring to your next one.

Kind regards
