Christopher Moshier writes “Haven, the first release from MC (Making Comics) Studios

?HaVeN? brings about the first comic book release from MC (Making Comics) Studios.

An unknown enemy has decimated the Earth as we know it. Many of the planet?s elite, the politicians, the scientists, the wealthiest, escape into deep space leaving their brethren to their fates.

With the help of an alien force known as ?The Pantheon,? refugees from the apocalyptic Earth rebuild humanity in the form of a space station known as HaVeN.” Read More for the full release.

“?It?s rather timely if you think about it,? explains HaVeN creator and writer Christopher Moshier. ?You can parallel HaVeN to the most recent tragedy in US history the flooding of New Orleans. People with comfortable means left the area or in HaVeN?s case the planet. The less fortunate were left in this muck of sewage to fend for themselves. Was New Orleans the fault of a failed government or of a people to dependant on their government? Really good science fiction will ask and try to answer social questions of today. I believe HaVeN does that in an entertaining way.?

Haven?s hero is Thomas Scarret. Scarret is a believed trader to the people of HaVeN and banished to the decimated Earth because of it. ?Thomas is the stories protagonist. He is in his 60?s and not your typical Hollywood or Comic Book ?action? hero. Scarret is the bridge between Earth and HaVeN and it will be his story to bring these two societies back together.?

HaVeN?s publisher MC Studios was formed in the summer of 2003 as a website for creators who simply wanted to do what they enjoy ? create comics.

?MC Studios is what its namesake suggests,? explains Moshier, ?it is simply Making Comics. We have a group of creators that work very hard to display their talents in a medium they love. Our mission is to be noticed, show that we can produce a body of work, and be respected for that work.?

?We want to tell our stories.?
