Alien Nation, even though it only lasted one full season on the fledgling FOX network, was popular enough to to spawn off not one but five TV movies – even though the first one (Dark Horizon) didn’t appear until 4 years after the series was canceled, resolving the season-ending cliffhanger. The series came out on DVD two years ago – finally, all five movies (Dark Horizon, Body and Soul, Millenium, The Enemy Within, The Udara Legacy) are being released in the Ultimate Movie Collection on April 15th. Star Trek fan fave George Takei (Hikaru Sulu) tried to show is “country” side, singing “On The Road Again” on the CBS reality show “Secret Talent Of The Stars”. Fortunately, we won’t have to hear the likes of it again. The show, that featured the “talents” of Takei, Sasha Cohen (contortions), Clint Black (stand-up comedy), and Mya (tap dancing), had so many (of its few to start) viewers turn it off during the hour that CBS has already canceled the show. I bet CBS is really glad that the writer’s strike is over. Fear not, Sulu – your performance will live on thanks to YouTube…
