Survivors to be remade by BBC

by on Jul.09, 2008, under Television

The BBC series Survivors, which ran from 1975-1977, is getting the remake treatment to air on BBC One this fall, with it possibly appearing on BBC America at a later time. The original show was based on a novel by Terry Nation (best known as the creator of the Daleks, along with Blake’s 7), and dealt with a post-apocalyptic world after a virus decimates the world population. Among the cast will be Freema Agyeman, who most recently did stints as Martha Jones on both Doctor Who and Torchwood.
