Highlander remake to star Journeyman‘s McKidd?

by on Aug.25, 2008, under Movies

I hadn’t head of this before, but apparently there is a proposed “reinvention” of the Highlander franchise, and it may star Kevin McKidd (Journeyman). Apparently McKidd said on a Dublin radio interview that he’d been approached by the producers about starring in it…but there are no other details.

    Hmmm…

They would be hard-pressed to make it any better than it already is (both the original movie and the TV series).

    Only one.

The original Highlander was awesome – but has spawned a neverending pile of poo. The sequels were bad, the TV-shows even worse. I would’ve said that they would be hard-pressed to make it any worse than the TV show (or sequels). I doubt this will be any better. I can hope, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Remember, kids: Highlander – there should’ve been only one.

      Re:Only one.

Agree that, with the exception of the original, the movies have been crap.

But I really enjoyed the Highlander TV series with Adrian Paul. He made Highlander into what it is today, a much more interesting world than was shown in the original movie.

They did this in much the same way that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show took a B-movie and made it into something fantastic.
