Hathaway to be Catwoman

by on Jan.19, 2011, under Movies

Teh Kitteh is in! Anne Hathaway (Alice In Wonderland, The Princess Diaries) will be the next Catwoman in the next installment in the Christopher Nolan Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. announced today. Hathaway beat out Keira Knightley, Jessica Biel and others who tested for the role opposite Christian Bale. She joins a pantheon of previous kitties: Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt and Lee Meriweather from the 1960s Batman TV series (and movie), Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns, and Hally Berry in the failed Catwoman spinoff movie.

WB also identified the role that Tom Hardy (Inception) will play – Bane, a more recent villain created in 1993 for the comic and is best known for breaking Batman’s back in the Knightfall serial.

Being Human preview: “There Goes the Neighborhood Part 2″

by on Jan.19, 2011, under Television

The premiere of Being Human brought us into a townhouse in Boston where three young adults are just trying to live a normal life, but it’s harder than it looks when you’re a vampire, werewolf, and ghost. In the next all-new episode, Josh starts to become uneasy about having Sally’s former fiancé Danny over to the house. Uneasy is probably a lighthearted term compared to Josh’s state of concern. Sally begs and pleads but Josh fears Danny could potentially sell the place or turn it into an amusement if he’s able to see Sally as a ghost. Aidan stays calm and collected as usual. Will Danny see Sally or will he pass right by her? “There Goes the Neighborhood Part 2″ airs Monday, January 24th, at 9PM ET on Syfy.
