Eureka‘s Colin Ferguson joins Haven

by on May.08, 2013, under Television

Just heard, right from Colin himself – Colin Ferguson, who played Sheriff Jack Carter on Eureka, is returning to Syfy – this time on Haven, joining the cast for Season 4!

Ferguson will play William, a handsome mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose).

Season 4 begins production today in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It picks up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliffhanger in which the town was pummeled by a violent meteor storm. Audrey and Duke (Eric Balfour) vanished into thin air leaving an injured Nathan (Lucas Bryant) marooned in Haven. The 13-episode season will debut on Syfy in October.

During its third season, Haven averaged 2.3 million total viewers, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 901,000 Adults 18-49. It was the #1 cable drama during its Friday night at 10 PM timeslot (based on Live + 7 data) in Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and total viewers.

Ferguson’s many feature film credits include Because I Said So, Rowing Through and The Opposite of Sex. He has also starred in a number of movies for television and was a regular on the NBC remake of the hit British comedy series Coupling and the sitcom Then Came You. His many guest-starring roles include CSI, Malcolm in the Middle, Crossing Jordan and Becker.

Eureka series finale preview: “Just Another Day”

by on Jul.12, 2012, under Television

The episode may be called “Just Another Day”, But I’m sure it will hardly be one, as we bid farewell to the residents of the town of Eureka, and the characters we’ve come to love over five years. Let’s hope this isn’t the absolute last we see or hear of Jack, Fargo, Henry, Allison, Zane, Vincent, Holly, Isaac and the rest…

In the series finale, airing on Syfy next Monday at 9/8c, wormholes start popping up all over, threatening to rip Eureka apart unless Carter can stop them. Catch the preview below…

Eureka‘s Colin Ferguson, Andromeda‘s Lexa Doig, more join Primeval: New World

by on Jul.08, 2012, under Television

Gateworld reports several new castings for roles in the Canadian Primeval spinoff, Primeval: New World, which will air on SPACE in Canada but has no reported U.S. outlet yet. Chief among them is Eureka‘s Colin Ferguson (Sheriff Jack Carter), who will re-unite with his Eureka co-star Niall Matter in and unspecified role, along with a number of Stargate franchise alums.

Lexa Doig, who appeared as Dr. Carolyn Lam in several episodes of Stargate SG-1 but is perhaps best remembered as Andromeda/Rommie in Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda (and in real life is married to Stargate SG-1‘s Michael Shanks), will reportedly appear as a doctor in the two-part finale. She has most recently been playing Sonya Valentine in the Canadian SF series Continuum.

Stargate Universe‘s Louis Ferriera (Colonel Everett Young) will appear in the last three episodes as Colonel Henderson Hall, who will come into conflict with Evan Cross (Matter).

And fellow SGU alum Patrick Gilmore (Dale Volker) will also appear as a local entrepreneur named Blake in Episode 4.
