Outer Limits back in production?

by on Feb.26, 2001, under Television

Did I miss an announcement? Outer Limits, which had first-run episodes until recently on Showtime and also showed earlier seasons in syndication and on the Sci-Fi Channel and was cancelled as far as I knew, is apparently back in production for first-run episodes for the Sci-Fi channel and will premiere March 16th. Perhaps there was a “Babylon-esque” cancellation to get out of the Showtime contract?

I love anthology series, as they give us a chance to see stories that otherwise wouldn’t make it on the screen. I’d love to see some of Larry Niven’s Known Space stories.

Lucas says “No way” to Episodes 7-9

by on Feb.26, 2001, under Movies

George Lucas told USA Today (according to Sci-Fi Wire – I am unable to find the article) “No way” in regards to more Star Wars movies. “I guarantee that. After the next one [Episode III], I’ll move on.” He got to tell the story he wanted, and that will be it.
