Looney Tunes Chuck Jones, 1912-2002

by on Feb.25, 2002, under General News

I know this is late – it’s been everywhere in the media already, but its worth posting. The animator that gave us some of our most fondest cartoon memories (who could foget Duck Dodgers in the 24th-and-a-half Century?) passed away on Feb. 22nd from Congestive Heart Failure at his home at the age of 89. In addition to drawing the Looney Tunes characters, he received a Lifetime Achievement Oscar in 1996, and even wrote the screenplay for the original animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
