No Lost in Space from NBC

Back in January we had reported that NBC had commissioned a script from FOX Television for a new Lost in Space; well SyFy Portal is now reporting that NBC has cancelled its plans.
Update 11/29: Now that the site is fixed, it appears that the plan may have been to use the original cast in the telemovie, and spawn a possible low-cost series, or a movie-of-the-week with Jonathan Harris and the robot hosting. But the recent death of Harris at some level affected whatever the plan was, as well as enthusiasm for the project. NBC also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on the telefilm. But its not dead yet…
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban — casting game

speculation about who will portray the characters introduced in the next
HP adaptation (currently in preproduction).

fans of Babylon 5 and Harry Potter both are writing letters to the
casting director and staff of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
politely asking that Jason Carter be cast in the role of Sirius Black.”
