Return of the King Extended Edition tidbits; DGA award

Peter Jackson gave a few hints as to what may appear in the Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, although not everything filmed will make it in. I’m a bit confused as to whether these will or won’t be included, but I hope they are, even if they aren’t “true to the book”: a drinking contest between Gimli and Legolas, and a scene with Frodo and Sam pretending to be orcs. And Peter Jackson won the Director’s Guild of America award for RotK, which bodes well for is Oscar chances.

Well, Frodo and Sam did pretend to be orcs in the book, and they were forced to march along with an orc column for a while while in disguise, pretty much as the article describes.
