Atlantis blows the doors off SG-1‘s premiere

The record for a premiere of a SCI FI Channel series, set just last week by Stargate SG-1, has been shattered – big time. Stargate: Atlantis premiered this past weekend with a 3.2 household rating – beating it’s predecessor by a million viewers.

But….
How many will return this Friday? The premiere may have had the most viewers ever for Sci Fi, but from what I’ve seen it also had the most advertising on other networks of any show on Sci Fi. Though, that seems like one good thing NBC can do for the Sci Fi channel. (As long as they stick with shoving ads for only the good shows down peoples’ throats.)
