Enterprise ends Cold War, Spiner guesting; New Voyages signs old stars

by on Oct.05, 2004, under Television

In what is probably some happy news to Trekkers, Star Trek: Enterprise is set to put an end to the Temporal Cold War that has been haunting the franchise since Voyager, as they wrap up the third season cliffhanger and then launch into the new storylines. Expect to see more direct foreshadowing of the events of the original series. Also, Brent Spiner (Data) will will guest star in a three-episode arc as the great-grandfather of Dr. Noonian Soong, Data’s creator, as a “Hannibal Lechter” type scientist who creates the embryos that begets the Eugenics Wars. Lastly, guest stars from the original series Barbara Luna (Lt. Marlena Moreau, “Mirror, Mirror”) and Malachi Throne (Commodore Mendez, “The Menagerie”) have agreed to guest-star in episodes of the fan-produced New Voyages series.
