Doctor Who: Season 1 delayed?

by on Jan.10, 2006, under General News

For those in the U.S. who have been waiting on the DVD set of the first season of the revived Doctor Who, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. It seems that the set has been delayed from the originally announced Feb. 14th date. Some speculation is that the delay could be tied to getting a TV network to pick up the show – a broadcaster would prefer to air the series before the DVDs are out.

    interesting

btw, i really wish the bbc would get a clue and release the archives of who on dvd in a season by season set vs. the story arc sets. story arc sets are waaay to hard to figure out where they fit in the rest of the continuity.

    compare this:

season 15, episode 3 of blah blah blah story, (which is actually episode 7 of that particular season).

    to this:

season 15 episode 7 (the third part of 6 parts of blah blah blah story).

selling box sets of seasons makes much more sense especially when trying to figure out where things lie in the full series.
