“Warp drive” in development?

Seems someone thinks a “warp drive” is within the realm of reality. The theory, first proposed by the late Burkhard Heim in the 1950s and would require a change in current physics models, involves a large magnetic field which in turn generates a gravity field that can be used for propulsion – and if large enough, slip the engine into another dimension. It seems to be totally unproven at this point, but the Z Machine at Sandia National Laboratories could possibly produce the magnetic fields to test the theory. Just be sure that when you slip in and out of those extra dimensions you don’t bring something back…
A return for Futurama

Variety is reporting that the animated Futurama may make a return to TV (paid subscription – read the SCI FI Wire condensed version). Talks are under way with 20th Century Fox Television for a limited run of new episodes, although where they may air is undecided.
Whedon again says no Firefly

Maybe if he just gave a straight answer, there would be less confusion – Joss Whedon apparently said in an interview with USA Today (I was unable to find an article on usatoday.com) “We’ll never make Firefly again.” But then he says that he’d like to “tell more stories of this universe and to hang out with these people.” Well, if its a movie, or another TV series, in the same universe with the same characters, isn’t it in in some sense Firefly?
BABYLON 5 “Superbox” out on DVD in Germany

Stefan writes [links cleaned up again] “Warner Bros. Germany has now released the “BABYLON 5 – Superbox” including all 5 Seasons and all 6 TV-Movies (with ever first synchronised “Legend of the Rangers”).
The B5-Fanbase dedicated Tin Box includes 2 Poster, a Cap (with 1 of 4 different Logos; B5,IPX, PSI-Corps) and a small well designed Booklet. (Release: Nov-21-2005).
Warner Bros. UK before released “The Complete Universe” including ALSO the Spin-Off “CRUSADE” but *NO* Add-Ons for the B5-Fan. (Release: Oct-24-2005).
