by on Jul.10, 2006, under Television

OK, this week is the beginning of SCI FI Channel’s Summer half-season, with the return of SCI FI Friday shows Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis (Battlestar Galactica won’t return until October), but also some old and new programs: James Cameron’s Dark Angel will get a rerun-run Mondays starting tonight, and new original series Eureka starts Tuesday, July 18th. Read More for a synopsis of the show.

Nestled in the Pacific Northwest, Eureka is a small town with big secrets. Shrouded in secrecy, the picturesque hamlet is actually a community of scientific geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. What they?ve unwittingly created is a place where anything imaginable can happen? and does. Production on the series written by executive producer Andrew Cosby (Haunted) and co-executive producer Jaime Paglia is slated to begin this winter in Vancouver for a Summer 2006 premiere. Peter O?Fallon directed the pilot.
