New SF monster film Dark Swarm signs genre cast

The new CG monster film Dark Swarm, produced by Hogofilm, LLC, is about what’s left of life on Earth after a swarm of aliens consumes most everything. A small band of humans fight to survive, and fight back. Signed on for the cast are Christopher Judge (Teal?c, Stargate SG-1), Erica Cerra (Deputy Jo, Eureka and Maya, Battlestar Galactica), and Ed Wasser (Morden, Babylon 5). CG Monster Movie Attaches Stars from Several Hit Sci-Fi TV Series
Rancho Cucamonga, CA ? January 14, 2008 ? Hogofilm, LLC officially announced that the
company is producing a CG monster film called Dark Swarm. The story is about billions of aliens
that consume all life on the Earth, leaving a small group of survivors to fight back. Stars from
several hit science fiction series have been attached to the project.

Christopher Judge, who played ?Teal?c? for ten seasons on the smash series Stargate SG-1, will
play a father figure who will do anything to protect his daughter from both the swarm and the
other survivors. Also attached is Erica Cerra, who has previously been featured on two popular
series: Eureka as ?Deputy Jo,? and the new Battlestar Galactica as ?Maya.? Erica will play a
young woman who uses her forest ranger training to help the survivors, while being torn between
an old flame and a new.

The film will also feature Ed Wasser, best known as the sinister ?Mr. Morden? on Babylon 5, as a
mysterious stranger who may know more about the alien swarm than he first lets on.

Dark Swarm will begin production in Summer 2008 for release in 2009.

The script for Dark Swarm has been nominated for two film festival awards: Best Screenplay at
the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival in Phoenix; and Best Feature Screenplay at the
Terror Film Festival in Philadelphia.

Directing the film and supervising the special effects is Tim Pyle, a former award-winning CG
animator. His previous animation credits include Jimmy Neutron (Academy Award nominated for
Best Animated Feature), Starship Troopers: the Series (Emmy nominated for Outstanding
Animated Program), and Children of Dune (2004 Emmy Winner for Best Visual Effects). He
previously directed Hogofilm?s Decaying Orbit feature film, released on DVD in 2007.

Christopher Judge was nominated for a 2002 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a
Television Series for Stargate SG-1. Tim Pyle has won two AEGIS awards, a Telly Award, a
CINE Golden Eagle, and a 2006 NASA award for producing CG animation.
