SCI FI Channel plans a Revolution

by on Apr.03, 2008, under Television

The SCI FI Channel has signed for a new pilot called Revolution, about an Earth colony outpost in the 22nd century struggling with unrest. Billy Campbell (The 4400) stars as a soldier-turned farmer Tom Hart who may be the natural leader they need. Also starring are Rowena King (The Bucket List) as the new governor, and Steve Sandvoss (Kiss The Bride) as Hart’s older son.

NBC announcements: Heroes in, Origins out, more

by on Apr.03, 2008, under Television

Aside from Knight Rider, The Peacock has made a variety of SF-related announcements. First up is Heroes, which will return on September 15th, allowing time for the producers time to get ahead in planning, leading up to a 3-hour Heroes event, with a clip show and then a 2-hour movie. However, the planned prequel series Heroes: Origins has been scrapped. Medium has also been renewed. NBC also unveiled a late of new programs as well (see the article for all the details) that will air spread out over the next 18 or so months. Some interesting highlights: Merlin, starring Colin Morgan (mysteriously billed as being in Doctor Who, but I have no reference), exploring the lives of Merlin and Arthur before they became legends; and My Own Worst Enemy, starring Christian Slater, which sounds similar to the excellent British mini Jekyll, mixed with Bourne Idendity.
