The highly anticipated game Spore came out yesterday, but is there a scientific basis to the game? Just how did we evolve to have two arms, two legs, and walk upright? The National Geographic Channel’s How to Build a Better Being (Tuesday, Sept. 9th, 10pm ET) explores just that, and uses Spore to visualize it. I missed this, but the DVD set for the first series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, comes out tomorrow. In addition, the fourth series of Doctor Who has been announced for release on November 18th. And for those on Captain Jack watch, a reminder that Series 2 of Torchwood) is out next week, and I should have a review of the DVD set in a couple of days.

Charge your proton packs: Harold Ramis has confirmed they are working on a script for Ghostbusters 3. The Office writing duo Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are working on the script, which may deal with the old Ghostbusters passing the proton packs on to a younger bunch. In the meantime, Spider-Man may get a couple more installments, as it is being reported that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are “locked in” to make Spider-Man 4, and that Sony is considering filming two films back to back.
