Total Recall remake to be directed by Wiseman

It’s been a while since there was news – now apparently Columbia Pictures would like to remake Total Recall, and are lining up Len Wiseman to direct. Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet) is working on the screenplay, to be produced by Neil H. Moritz (I Am Legend). Wiseman last directed a feature with 2007’s Live Free And Die Hard, along with the first two Underworld features.

That’s a definite “eh”. Ultraviolet wasn’t great, but Salt was fun and Equilibrium was awesome. Die More Harder was fine but not great, and the best thing I can say about Underworld 2 was that Kate Beckinsale makes an excellent beast-with-two-backs.
