Ghost Hunters International pre-review of “Hamlet’s Castle”

by on Jan.02, 2011, under Television

I never really watched the Ghost Hunters shows until the live Halloween episode – now the whole family is hooked on them. But it’s a good idea not to watch them right before bed 🙂 Some are just creepy.

I got a rough cut of the upcoming season premiere of Ghost Hunters International, which airs this Wednesday, January 5th, at 9PM ET, where they investigate Kronborg Castle in Denmark, the inspiration for the location of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

Kris Williams from Ghost Hunters joins the Ghost Hunters International group this season, where she joins load investigator Barry Fitzgerald, Joe Chin, Paul Bradford, Susan Slaughter, and Scott Tepperman. Britt Griffith from Ghost Hunters also joins for the episode.

I think Kris can help provide the link to the original group to help carry more viewers over. Barry carries a subdued atmosphere around him, which I think is good for this type of show. And I like that they do an experiment based on one of the reported observations.

I don’t want to give too much away as these shows really do depend on how you take the experience. The feel of the show is very much like the U.S. Ghost Hunters, and it has the same limitations – some things that I’d like to see looked into more don’t (or at least don’t make the final edit). But the activity taking place in Kronborg Castle definitely proves to be interesting. Shaking chandeliers, shaking flashlights, and sounds from right behind the investigators can be a bit creepy…

I wish they’d get rid of the incidental music and sounds though.
