Sci-Fi Storm

Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica, Longmire) is set create and star in a future-set drama called Rain, in conjunction with Reunion Pictures, the production company behind Continuum and Olympus.

Rain is a look at a possible future through the eyes of a soldier named Rain, played by Sackhoff, with a look at what the role of global warming, fossil fuels, etc. may have on the decline of the environment.

Reunion’s Tom Rowe will executive produce with Sackhoff, with Leland LaBarre producing.

The more I see the trailers for this, the more I see the Disney-esque vision of the future that he tried to embody in the Tomorrowland section of the theme parks…

Tomorrowland opens May 22nd, and stars George Clooney and Britt Robinson.

In a followup to our earlier story about Shadowhunters, the TV version of the [asin=1481400835]Mortal Instruments[/asin] book series by Cassandra Clare – reports say that McG (Supernatural) will direct the premiere episode for ABC Family. He also directed the pilot episode of Kevin From Work for the network, which has also been picked up for a series where he will continue to serve as executive producer.

Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lilly – opens July 17th!
