2015 Emmy noms are out…Game Of Thrones leads all, while Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany finally gets hers
Orphan Black fans rejoice!
The 2015 Emmy nominations list was released today, and Game Of Thrones is king of the hill at 24 nominations (out of HBO’s 126 total…the next closest network was FX Networks at 38.) American Horror Story: Freak Show followed in second at 19. Gotham and The Walking Dead weighed in at 4 a piece.
Among the Marvel series, Marvel’s Daredevil managed 3 nominations, while Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. only managed one.
But the big story is that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has finally received a Outstanding Lead Actress, which fans have been clamoring for especially given that she’s a one woman ensemble cast, playing many very different characters in every episode. She’s up against Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Claire Danes (Homeland), Robin Wright (House Of Cards), Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) and Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), so it’s pretty crowded with talent, but it’s a step closer…
The crew uses chemical hypnosis and the ship’s neural link to explore the disturbing memories secreted away in Five’s (Jodelle Ferland) subconscious. Tune in Friday night at 10/9c on Syfy!

After the success of A Force For Change, the other giant SF franchise in this universe is getting in the act with “Star Trek: To Boldly Go”, an Omaze fundraiser supporting nine charities (chosen by the cast members), with the big prize being a walk on role on Star Trek Beyond!
Six “Honorary Crew Members” will be chosen from separate pools of weekly entries, with those winners getting to visit the set, meet the cast, and see scenes being filmed. Then one Grand Prize winner will be chosen from all the entrants.
Donation amounts also come with goodies, up to a Captain’s Chair (limited number available)!
Check out the video below, and see more details and donate here! Entry deadline is September 1st.
