Big Bang Theory soars…
by Doc on Feb.09, 2010, under Television
Despite the fact that Sheldon doesn’t like Babylon 5, Big Bang Theory is one of the funniest programs on television – even if you don’t understand what they are saying. If you DO understand what they are saying, it’s even funnier. And its popularity with the “mainstream” audience is showing, as it hit a preliminary 6.0 rating and had 16.3 million viewers last night, for its highest ever – and an increasingly rare feat among scripted shows in general.
Interesting SF tidbits surrounding Hawaii Five-0 casting
by Doc on Feb.08, 2010, under Television
It may seem a strange place to find SF news, but the auditions and casting of the upcoming Hawaii Five-O has several tie-ins. And Stargate SG-1‘s Michael Shanks has auditioned for the famous role of “Danno” on the show as well, while he was also talking about his upcoming guest role on Smallville: Absolute Justice as Hawkman, and why he thinks there won’t be another Stargate SG-1 movie. But Dr. Jackson fans fret not – the character will appear again in a couple of Stargate Universe episodes.

by Doc on Feb.04, 2010, under Television
Still wondering what is going on in Lost? Did they both crash and not crash? Feel like more questions are getting asked than answered, and worried you’ll be left going, “Huh?” at the end? Well, I suppose that could still happen, but creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse at least plan to leave no questions unanswered. Whether we will understand the answers is another matter…

by Doc on Jan.30, 2010, under Television
As a follow up to a previous story on David Tennant’s legal comedy pilot for NBC, Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, the show has been shelved for now.
