According to the official Star Trek website, James Doohan will bid farewell to fans with what is supposed to be his last convention appearance, being billed as “Beam Me Up Scotty … One Last Time”, and will be held August 28-30th at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. James Doohan is the only convention guest I ever met that greeted the fans outside the convention in line while waiting for it to open…

Graydon Gould, fondly remembered by Gerry Anderson fans as the voice of SUPERCAR’s Mike Mercury, will be making a rare American appearance as the guest of Misc!MAYHEM and A&E Home Video at this year’s Comic-Con International 2003. The Comic-Con runs from July 17 -20 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Even better – Boston won the site selection for 2004 – Noreascon Four will host the 62nd World Science Fiction Convention. Now I will actually be able to attend… :^)
Second Farscape convention this weekend

Film Festival in London

I would like to introduce our film festival, taking place in Soho in Feb 2002. It is a sci-fi and fantasy festival, we believe the first in London, and we are also running a short film competition.
The website has now gone live and we are looking for official partners and sponsors to help make the event memorable.
