Science Fiction Movies Timeline

by on Feb.26, 2004, under General News

Anonymous Coward writes “Someone put all the movies with a reference to specific time into a chronological order here. Ain’t that sweet?” It only goes from 1984 on, so “past” fiction isn’t included, but it is neat. Update: Here is another one, not limited to movies…

Return of the King Extended Edition tidbits; DGA award

by on Feb.09, 2004, under General News

Peter Jackson gave a few hints as to what may appear in the Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, although not everything filmed will make it in. I’m a bit confused as to whether these will or won’t be included, but I hope they are, even if they aren’t “true to the book”: a drinking contest between Gimli and Legolas, and a scene with Frodo and Sam pretending to be orcs. And Peter Jackson won the Director’s Guild of America award for RotK, which bodes well for is Oscar chances.
