…and the news goes on…
by Doc on Sep.12, 2001, under General News
It’s always difficult to get back into a normal routine after such events, but life does go on. Here is a nutshell report of some of what is going on in Sci-Fi, mostly condensed from Sci-Fi Wire: Buffy‘s James Marsters will guest on Andromeda as Nietzschean; Lucasfilm added $4 million worth of perks for the Episode I DVD; Roxann Dawson (B’Elanna Torres on Star Trek: Voyager) completes directing Enterprise‘s 7th episode; and AICN is offering X-Files spoilers.

Sci-Fi Storm update
by Doc on Sep.06, 2001, under General News
I’m working on updating the site to use Slashcode 2.0. You might notice some glitches in the look-and-feel – I’m still sorting out some errors in the “theme”. Once I get all this straightened out, then we can see about tackling the features…
Update 9/6: Now that I’ve got a handle on the new templates, I’m adding a bit of 3D flair, so don’t complain too much if it looks funny…hmm…after adding the 3D stuff, I’ve noticed that it looks bad in Netscape 4.X. Looks OK in either IE or Mozilla/Netscape 6. Still trying to figure it out.

by Doc on Aug.28, 2001, under General News
I don’t think I ever mentioned that the DVD for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is due out on October 16th (probably because it was already on every blasted web site in existence), and Amazon lists the sales rank as #1. Maybe some of you haven’t pre-ordered it yet, but you can do so now over at [asin=B00003CX5P]Amazon.com[/asin] and support us at the same time…

Encyclopedia of Known Space in beta
by Doc on Aug.23, 2001, under General News
I have decided to let the public view an early edition of my next project, The Encyclopedia of Known Space, based on the universe of Larry Niven. It is very incomplete – I’m going through story my story, and thus far have only incorporated one collection and working on the second. But there is still some good stuff in there…let me know if there are any blatant errors.
Oops…the link is in there now…bad Mozilla… :^)
