Cinescape Magazine and its corresponding web site have returned after a brief “hiatus”, spurred by the former parent company, Fandom Inc., filing for bankruptcy two months ago. Mania Entertainment has taken over, the web site is up again, and a new issue will be due out in the Fall.

Not only are the first 12 episodes available now in a 3 DVD boxed set (available from

My job will be sending me to another location for next week, and I will be away from the net completely the following weekend. As such, I will be unable to make very many updates, if at all. When I do, expect them to be terse, muke like a TidBits update…

I have finally gotten all the info re-entered into the new engine for the Babylon 5 Encyclopedia and put it online. For the most part it looks the same, but there is now a search engine, and a lot of stuff has been cleaned up. It is all PHP and database driven now, making it MUCH easier to update and change the look and feel. Crusade data should be leaking in shortly…

Casting Shadows, by Jeanne Cavelos, is the first book in the The Passing of the Techno-Mages trilogy. I finally gotten the time to sit down and read it, and here is a review. In brief: most excellent. The review is for the most part spoiler-free.
