Sci-Fi Storm

BBC News is reporting that Douglas Adams has died of a heart attack Friday morning at the age of 49. He is best known for his The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series of books, and was most recently working on the h2g2 website and a movie version of the books.

We had previously reported that actor/bodybuilder David Prowse, the figure behind Darth Vader, had been stricken with an unknown ailment that partially paralyzed him. Well, he’s back in the hospital again with the same problem, but this time it’s been diagnosed as an abcess in the base of the spine, according to Popcorn.

It’s been a busy week for me – hence no real updates. And no earth-shattering news either. So here are some TidBits: A.I. centers around an android boy in a world where androids are treated as slaves; a tenth season of X-Files is undecided; Lucas is looking to start work on Episode III soon; Tommy Lee Jones is definitely in MiB III; and UPN seems to be shopping for teen Sci-Fi fans, as Roswell may follow Buffy…
