Syfy’s ’12 Disasters of Christmas became the channel’s most watched Saturday Original Movie since February, devastating 2.1 million total viewers during its premiere on Saturday, December 8.

The movie, which starred Ed Quinn (Eureka) and Magda Aponowicz (Caprica), also delivered 759,000 Adults 25-54 and 586,000 Adults 18-49 while averaging a 1.5 household rating during the 9-11PM (ET/PT) time period.

‘12 Disasters of Christmas was a production of Cinetel Films.

Since tonight is time to reminisce about Syfy/Sci-Fi Channel, I figure I should add some of my own memories of the channel.

Check out the 1 minute “announcement” trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness! We now actually see something of the movie, and bad guy star Benedict Cumberbatch…time for more speculation! I still think Gary Mitchell is possible (he and Kirk appear to know each other at one point)…but another thing – they turn the Enterprise into a submarine?!? Syfy is planning on closing out 2012 (and perhaps the world) with a holiday programming festival featuring an End of the World movie marathon – in case the Mayan apocalyptic prediction proves false – along with a Star Trek film extravaganza, the Doctor Who spinoff K-9 and, of course, the annual Twilight Zone New Year’s Eve journey into the Fifth Dimension.

I’m starting to think that Jenna-Louise Coleman’s getting prettier each time I see her 🙂

I’ve been asked many times since the announcement that Disney would acquire Lucasfilm what I think of the news. I just haven’t gotten around to finishing this article…now that the feds have cleared the acquisition, I remembered 🙂

It’s no secret that I’m a big Star Wars fan (and of other Lucasfilm productions – heck, I still see humor in Howard The Duck…), nor is it a secret I’m a big Disney fan. As I mentioned to a certain Disney Jedi friend of ours, it’s two of our worlds colliding!

But is it a good thing? I think so.
