Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars starts Sunday

Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars picks up where Farscape left off – John Chricton (Ben Browder) and Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black) are expecting parents – but they are caught in an all-out war between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers. Part One airs Sunday night (10/17) at 9PM ET on the SCI FI Channel (repeats at 11pm and 1am). Part Two airs the following night, with another repeat of Part One before it at 7PM. Both will air back to back on Sunday afternoon 10/24 starting at 3PM.

Enterprise ends Cold War, Spiner guesting; New Voyages signs old stars

In what is probably some happy news to Trekkers, Star Trek: Enterprise is set to put an end to the Temporal Cold War that has been haunting the franchise since Voyager, as they wrap up the third season cliffhanger and then launch into the new storylines. Expect to see more direct foreshadowing of the events of the original series. Also, Brent Spiner (Data) will will guest star in a three-episode arc as the great-grandfather of Dr. Noonian Soong, Data’s creator, as a “Hannibal Lechter” type scientist who creates the embryos that begets the Eugenics Wars. Lastly, guest stars from the original series Barbara Luna (Lt. Marlena Moreau, “Mirror, Mirror”) and Malachi Throne (Commodore Mendez, “The Menagerie”) have agreed to guest-star in episodes of the fan-produced New Voyages series.

Entire Farscape series airing Oct. 1st to 15th

The SCI FI Channel will air every episode of the Farscape series, from 8am-4pm ET/PT every weekday starting on Friday, October 1st through Friday, October 15th, in advance of the Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars miniseries which starts October 17th at 9PM ET.

Claudia Black guests on Stargate SG-1, talks Farscape

Claudia Black, who played Officer Aeryn Sun in the Farscape series and reprises that role in the upcoming Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars miniseries, talks about returning to the role. “I loved it,” she said. “I really care about and being able to again play a character that’s been a privilege to play.” Also, Black will guest star on a future episode of Stargate SG-1, playing Vala, who steals the Prometheus with Daniel Jackson aboard. “She’s sassy. She’s intelligent. She’s manipulative. She’s very hard and mercurial.”

Shatner too expensive for Enterprise?

While negotiating for his previously rumored guest appearance for Enterprise, William Shatner says UPN “blinked” when they discussed money, so his appearance is on hold for now, but it can still happen “if they open their eyes.”

Lucasfilm confirms Star Wars TV series; Hamill talks third trilogy

TheForce.Net is running an article that Lucasfilm has confirmed at the DVD release press conference that a Star Wars TV series has been planned – but offered no details at all. And ComingSoon.net reports that Mark Hamill at the same event recalled a discussion he had with George Lucas years ago, regarding the fabled Episodes 7, 8 an 9.

SCI FI Channel to redo Andromeda Strain and The Thing

In this remake happy world, the SCI FI Channel wants to be king. Both The Andromeda Strain and The Thing are on the table for the miniseries treatment, with Ridley Scott heading up Strain and Frank Darabont on The Thing.

Countess Fenrig writes “A nice taste of what is to come. Farscape:The PeaceKeeper Wars concludes the Farscape series, after it was left on a cliffhanger and then cancelled by your friends and mine,”The SciFi channel.

Anyway, the trailer looks fab and looks to have had a decent budget too.

Stargate series help drive record summer for SCI FI

The SCI FI Channel enjoyed its vest summer ratings ever, and the new episodes of Stargate SG-1 (averaging 2.7 million viewers, 50 percent higher than last summer) and the new Stargate: Atlantis (3.1 million) helped drive it. So science fiction can actually make it on the channel – whoda thunk?
