SCI FI Channel has announced that it will air 8 original one hour episodes of In Search Of…, with The X-Files‘ Mitch Pileggi as the host, starting October 11th.
SCI FI to start showing SG-1 from beginning

According to GateWorld the SCI FI Channel will begin airing the first 4 seasons of Stargate SG-1 starting Monday, September 30th, starting with a 4-hour marathon starting at 7pm,. Also, on Friday, September 27th there will be a marathon of 5 season six episodes starting at 6pm. In fact, for all Fridays in September SFC will air two season six episodes, temporarily taking the Farscape time slot. The last new episode on the schedule, “Prometheus”, is set to air on August 23rd, with the remainder of the 6th season to air probably after the first of the year.
Dinotopia leads recast

Now that Dinotopia is being converted to a weekly series for ABC, all the lead roles have been recast. since the miniseries was never planned to be a pilot, casting decisions and such did not revolve around the long term. So now, the leads will be played by Erik Von Detten (The Princess Diaries), playing Carl; Shiloh Strong (Foxfire) as David, and Georgina Rylance (Man and Boy) as Rosemary.
Braga hints at upcoming Enterprise

Brannon Braga, co-creator of Enterprise, hints at several things we’ll be seeing in the second season over at SCI FI Wire. Included are a significant brush with the Romulans – but Braga says they made the continuity “airtight” – fans of the original series will note that no one had ever seen a Romulan in the flesh until Kirk’s crew. We’ll also see hints at the creation of the Federation, more of the Temporal Cold War, and more Vulcan secrets…
Jeremiah two-part season ender starts Friday

The first part of the two-parter season finale of Jeremiah, “Things Left Unsaid”, airs this Friday at 10:45PM on Showtime, with the conclusion the following Friday. It is a major arc episode, so don’t miss it. Alas, no word on a second season yet.
Quantum Leap TV movie!!!

Fans of Quantum Leap around the world have been begging for a continuation of the series in one form or another since the show ended in 1993. Now that SCI FI Channel is part of Universal Television Group, which owned Quantum Leap, Leapers will get their wish. A two-hour TV movie is being developed, headed by series creator Donald P. Bellisario, that may serve as a back-door pilot for a new series. No word on who else will be involved – too early for that.
Dr. Jackson will make appearance on SG-1

Seems Michael Shanks may return after all – at least for a bit. Seems that producer Brad Wright said in a chat on scifi.com that they have a couple of stories involving Shanks departed character or Dr. Daniel Jackson, including the season finale, and hope that Michael Shanks will want to make both of them. He also let slip that we will also see Ronnie Cox and John De Lancie back, and even Dean Stockwell (Quantum Leap) will guest this season.
