Sci-Fi Channel west coast feed starts
by Doc on Oct.25, 2000, under Television
djryan writes “At 9 a.m. PT on Monday, October 23, the SCI FI Channel launched a West Coast feed in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and several other Western cable markets. The new feed means that most West Coast viewers can now watch SCI FI shows during their regularly scheduled times in both the Eastern and Pacific zones, eliminating the three-hourdifference that used to exist.
For instance, with the dual feed in place, Babylon 5 can now be seen at 7 p.m. on both coasts. Prior to launching the dual feed, Babylon 5 was seen at 7 p.m. ET on the East Coast and 4 p.m. PT on the West Coast.
