“I Want To Eat Your Face”

by on Nov.23, 2008, under Fun Stuff

The Thunder Child writes “The Thunder Child inaugerates a new section: Good scenes from bad movies, starting with two scenes from The Creature Wasn’t Nice (aka Spaceship and Naked Space) starring Leslie Nielsen and Patrick Macnee. In the first, an alien is interrogated as to what he wants to do on board the ship, in the second, Patrick Macnee as Doctor Stark attempts to explain that if they show they are not afraid of the creature, he won’t harm them. http://thethunderchild.com/Movies/MovieScenes/Want ToEatYourFace.html. The movie was written by Bruce Kimmel, author of the 2006 SF musical spoof The Brain From Planet X, and we provide a clip of the 50s SF movie title-rich theme song from one of its productions. Lots of fun, so check it out!”

But in the meantime Pushing Daisies, along with Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money, were told that no additional episodes would be ordered, “for now” (and likely won’t, but networks seem to hate the word, “canceled”…)

Scribes Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville, Spider-Man 2, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) have been brought in to rewrite Warner Brothers big-screen Robotech adaptation. Lawrence Kasdan apparently wrote a previous draft, and no mention of it being live action or animated this time, although various reports are still calling it live-action – Tobey Maguire is only listed as a producer at this time.

Other issues aside, it LOOKS good. And apparently (from the teaser), the original Enterprise was a turboprop (look at the left nacelle towards the end)…
