tchansen writes “According to Anime News Network, the Sci Fi Channel signed an agreement for the rights to do a live action remake of the fantastic animated series, Witch Hunter Robin. I just started watching the series on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and it is very good, in my opinion. Hopefully, SciFi can remain true to the tone and pace of the animated show… but I’m not holding my breath.”

Return of the King Extended Edition tidbits; DGA award
by Doc on Feb.09, 2004, under General News
Peter Jackson gave a few hints as to what may appear in the Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, although not everything filmed will make it in. I’m a bit confused as to whether these will or won’t be included, but I hope they are, even if they aren’t “true to the book”: a drinking contest between Gimli and Legolas, and a scene with Frodo and Sam pretending to be orcs. And Peter Jackson won the Director’s Guild of America award for RotK, which bodes well for is Oscar chances.
