by Doc on Mar.05, 2003, under General News
Could The Hobbit get produced as a year-long television series? That’s what Gandalf is saying. Sir Ian McKellan has apparently broached the subject with director Peter Jackson, and is willing to reprise his role as the grey wizard in the prequel. Don’t get your hopes up though – there was no mention of Peter’s response.

SG-1‘s Maj. Carter to get romance?
by Doc on Feb.26, 2003, under Television
Amanda Tapping (Maj. Samantha Carter on Stargate SG-1) told SCI FI Wire that we could be seeing some romance in Maj. Carter’s life in the upcoming seventh season, which began production of Monday. But rather than produce another quality show (they turned down JMS’ Polaris project) they give us Scare Tactics. Sigh.

Shame on me – in my cold medicine-induced haze this weekend, I forgot to mention that Saturday (2/22) marked the 10th anniversary of the debut of Babylon 5 with the airing of “The Gathering”, the two-hour pilot movie. Hard to believe that it was that long ago…
