Guest stars for Strange Frequency announced

VH1 announced some of the guest stars that will appear on Strange Frequency, the upcoming anthology series. They include: Ally Sheedy (Short Circuit), Stuart Margolin (Beggars and Choosers, The Rockford Files), Peter Strauss (Murder on the Orient Express TV movie), Wendie Malick (Cahoots), Patsy Kensit (The Last Don II) and Roger Daltrey (founder of the legendary rock band The Who)

Douglas Adams, dead at 49

BBC News is reporting that Douglas Adams has died of a heart attack Friday morning at the age of 49. He is best known for his The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series of books, and was most recently working on the h2g2 website and a movie version of the books.

Prowse back in hospital

We had previously reported that actor/bodybuilder David Prowse, the figure behind Darth Vader, had been stricken with an unknown ailment that partially paralyzed him. Well, he’s back in the hospital again with the same problem, but this time it’s been diagnosed as an abcess in the base of the spine, according to Popcorn.

Some 5th season news for Stargate SG-1

Effects house for Rangers named

Sci-Fi has announced that Canada-based Gajdecki Visual Effects, the Emmy-nominated and Gemini-winning effects house that’s behind Stargate SG-1 and past efforts Total Recall 2070 and TekWar, will be producing the visual effects for Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers.

Bakula may not be in the captain’s chair
