by on Apr.09, 2001, under Television

All 22 episodes of Stargate SG-1 on 5 DVDs in a single box set? Yup…MGM is releasing this set the way ALL series should be done (do you hear me, Warner Home Video???) They will make it to retail stores in May, but Amazon says they’ll ship April 10th!!!
Pre-order now and pay only $62.97 (and we’ll get a modest cut as well!) And coming soon, a Stargate SG-1 Store to gather all the merchandise we can together…

Update 3/19: A preliminary version of the Stargate SG-1 store is online…get your Stargate SG-1 and Stargate movie merchandise from Amazon.com and help support Sci-Fi Storm…

Update 4/9: Bah! Seems Amazon isn’t getting them early – the release date is now May 22nd. I also found out they don’t want me listing release dates on the store page, so I’m just going to say “Released soon” from now on…

by on Apr.03, 2001, under Movies

Coming Attractions has confirmed a previously-posted rumor that WWF wrestler The Rock (a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson) has been offered the title role in Duke Nukem. No idea if he’ll take it yet. It’s not as far fetched as you might think: he will be making his big-screen debut in The Mummy Returns next month as the Scorpion King, and the sequel to that, called The Scorpion King, has been greenlighted.
