In the next all-new episode of Merlin, Arthur is approached about his arranged engagement to a princess, Elena. It’s against his own wishes and he’s caught in deciding whether he should honor the royal tradition or if he should make the choice to not go through with it. Watch the clip and tune in on Friday at 10/9c on Syfy to see if Arthur will choose the right destiny of marrying his eventual Queen, or if the true feelings of his heart will prevail.

In the next all-new episode of Merlin, Arthur leads Merlin through the Valley of the Fallen Kings in order to find a hide-away. Arthur claims they will never be followed in after Merlin prods about whether or not the valley is cursed. Arthur’s response doesn’t sit well with Merlin and they are quickly trying to lead their pursuers off their trail once again. In the next all-new episode of Merlin, Arthur takes part in battle with swords being swung, horses hooves roaring in the arena, and danger on the verge for Arthur as Merlin stands as a mere spectator. Merlin quickly sees that Arthur is being pursued and if he is not aware of the knight just over his shoulder he will soon see his death. Will Merlin have to use some of his power to save him or will Arthur be able to show his own survival skills?

In the next all-new episode of Merlin, Merlin is tested as he stands up to Gaius. However, Gaius is possessed by a Goblin so Merlin can only attempt to strike fear in the Goblin without hurting Gaius. A bit of magic and secrets are revealed between the two, but Merlin makes a promise that he will not stop until Gaius is his old self. “Goblin’s Gold” airs this Friday at 10PM ET.

Merlin goes to check on Morgana but knows he must get back to Arthur as he is in the midst of battle. Cenred and Morgause look on the war from afar in delight of the chaos. In Merlin’s search for Arthur, he is nearly consumed by a flying fire ball until he has to make some heat of his own.

Merlin‘s back on Syfy tomorrow night (January 7th) at 10PM ET with it’s third season, and Merlin and Arthur are back in Camelot…and so is Morgana.

Syfy has set the premiere dates for their version of Being Human as well as some new and returning series and movies. All times are Eastern Standard Time:

Series:
Ghost Hunters International: January 5th, 10PM

Merlin: January 7th, 10PM – Third season premiere.

Being Human: January 17th, 9PM – The U.S. version of the popular British show

Face Off: January 26th, 10PM – A challenge competition between special effects makeup artists. Think “Food Network Challenge” meets prosthetics.

In addition, the return of Ghost Hunters and the debut of Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen will occur in February, and Destination Truth will return in March.

Movies:
Behemoth: January 15th, 9PM – Scientists discover a giant creature under the Earth that is wrapped around the entire planet. When the creature wakes all grumpy, it causes worldwide destruction. Starring Ed Quinn (Nathan Stark, Eureka).

Mega Python Vs Gatoroid: January 29th, 9PM – Come on, admit it – you’ve been waiting for this. Debbie Gibson vs. Tiffany. Oh, and something about giant swamp creatures in the Everglades.

Merlin, the re-imagined BBC One Camelot tale that was successful in the U.K. but when aired on NBC failed to garner an audience, looks to return to the U.S. but will shift to Syfy (another NBC Universal channel) in April with the airing of the second series (and a marathon of the first series at the end of March). The first series will be [sfs=997]will be available on DVD[/sfs] on April 20th. Update: It looks like Merlin will be paired with the return of Stargate Universe. Update 2/4:>/b> This is confirmed.
