Sanctuary gets musical this week!

Magnus and Will study the brain of an abnormal and notice a high number of synapses firing off and come to the conclusion that she can only communicate through music. They enter the room and Magnus begins asking her a question through song when Abby, the abnormal, looks at Will and asks why he looks worried. Magnus quickly proceeds to tell her that she’s been at the Sanctuary for a few days and she responds wondering if there is something they’re not telling her. Finding it quite odd, Will says that this is all insane and Abby looks at him and asks what he just said and gives a blank stare. Tune-in to an all new episode this Friday at 10/9c as Sanctuary turns musical!

Catch a preview below for tonight’s episode of Sanctuary, “Icebreaker”, and then see the actors answer questions on their favorite moments in Season 4!

Henry and a team from the UK Sanctuary are investigating why the original crew on an icebreaker in the Bering Sea seem to have killed one another when suddenly, they hear noises coming from outside. The team readies their guns then Magnus and Will burst through the door. Will goes off on a lecture about Magnus and her flying skills after an apparently bumpy ride to the icebreaker. Ending his lecture, he notices the bodies and Henry fills them in on the details. We also learn that the Abnormals on the ship tore each other apart as well. Tune-in to the all new episode this Friday and watch as the team split up and decide to search the whole ship for clues.

As Henry and Magnus are discussing some peculiar behavior happening recently, Magnus feels something strange is happening and it’s really big. Suddenly the lights begin to flicker and alarms sound as everyone is told to evacuate. Henry and Magnus want to investigate before exiting, but security warns them they must leave. Henry and Will are looking for yet another abnormal, and have their guns out in front of them. That quickly changes to retreating while firing when they see what they’re trying to catch. Will is able to calm it down and gets it to retreat, but not after Henry is knocked against the wall and caught in some electric sparks. Be sure to watch the clip and tune in this Friday at 10/9c to see if Henry can join Will to minimize the damage.

“How many fingers?” “Tuesday.” “He’s going to be fine…”

On this Friday’s all new Sanctuary, Helen and Will are strolling along together through a marketplace seeking information, but it will definitely come at a price. The man feeding them the details they’re paying for assures them that the man they’re seeking will show up soon, and that he comes every day to buy a particular fish. As they start to follow their man they realized there’s a group they believe might be black market traffickers and are posing as competition. Will and Magnus start to lose their target and have to find a way to keep up. Be sure to watch the clip and tune in this Friday at 10/9c to see if Magnus and Will are able to get their man.

This year’s Syfy Digital Press Tour started a little differently – last year there was a low-key reception dinner just with the Syfy executives – this year it was a luau theme, complete with Hawaiian shirts, a fire dancer, and this time, with the talent! One of the first I met while waiting for it to begin was Rhys Ifans, the actor who has played a wide variety of roles such as a the crazy roommate in Notting Hill, “The Leg” in The Replacements, Xenophilius Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, and now James Hook in the upcoming Neverland and Dr. Curt Conners/The Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man.

The abnormals are plotting an uprise as Henry tries to calm them down, but his attempt doesn’t bode well. A brawl begins and as it gets broken up by gun shots toward the sky, Henry claims they have to work together as opposed to against each other. Syfy will celebrate Halloween with its fourth annual 31 Days of Halloween fright fest showcasing more than 600 hours of holiday- themed programming, running October 1-October 31.

As always, the centerpiece of the month-long spook-a-thon will be Ghost Hunters Halloween Live on Monday, October 31 from 7PM-1AM/ET. This year, Jason, Grant and team members from both Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International will head to Pennhurst Asylum in Pennsylvania, a sprawling maze of buildings constituting a former state mental institution. Abandoned for decades, Pennhurst is now one of the country’s most notoriously haunted locales.
