A talk with the Warehouse 13 stars, plus a season premiere sneak peek and a webisode
by Doc on Jul.06, 2011, under Television
Syfy’s Warehouse 13 returns next Monday at 9/8c, and earlier today I was on the phone with three of the stars – Saul Rubinek (Artie), Eddie McClintock (Pete) and Allison Scagliotti (Claudia). I should have more a more complete article about the call this weekend, but here is a “sneak peak”, along with a sneak peek of the premiere as well as part one of the “webisode” tie in, “Of Monsters and Men”.
I asked each of them to describe the direction that we’d see their character’s take this season – spoiler free, of course (Saul said he wanted to give spoilers though…). McClintock said we’ll see “more insight into the people who influenced him…more about his dad…his mother…[his arc will be] centered around Pete’s past.”

Syfy preps Warehouse 13 spinoff for H.G. Wells character
by Doc on May.12, 2011, under Television
Syfy does like it’s dramadies – apparently enough to create a spinoff. Warehouse 13 showrunner Jack Kenny and another writer are prepping a spinoff of the series for the network, centering on the H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray) character introduced last season. From the report, it sounds like it might be a late 19th century period piece, sort of a cross between steampunk and Sherlock Holmes…

Eureka, Warehouse 13 DVD releases
by Doc on Mar.28, 2011, under Video/DVD
Universal has announced that the [sfs=1124]DVD release for Season 2[/sfs] of Warehouse 13 is scheduled for June 28th, 2011 – I don’t see a Blu-ray release listed at all. Also, I checked around and [sfs=1125]Eureka Season 4.0[/sfs] is listed as being released the week before on June 21st (also DVD only). I don’t have any information if this is another half-season release like with Season [sfs=954]3.0[/sfs] and [sfs=1011]3.5[/sfs]…the title implies it though.

by Doc on Mar.22, 2011, under Television
Along with the big programming announcement, Syfy also said that with the success of their “Countdown to Christmas Week” last December which featured special holiday episodes of Eureka and Warehouse 13, this year those shows plus Ghost Hunters and Haven will feature holiday-themed episodes, and the week’s centerpiece this year will be Neverland, featuring the voice of Keira Knightley as Tinker Bell, which we’ve reported on earlier.
Syfy will also have a Twilight Zone New Years marathon for the 17th straight year.
Warehouse 13 Allison Scagliotti will join live episode of Destination Truth
by Doc on Mar.08, 2011, under Television
Just learned this while prepping another article: Warehouse 13‘s Allison Scagliotti, who last Halloween helped Destination Truth‘s Joshua Gates host a 6-hour live episode of Ghost Hunters, will join Gates yet again, this time for the special live episode of his own show, Destination Truth, which searches for the legendary Banshee in Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day. As Allison hasn’t said she’d pick me up on the way there, I guess I’ll be watching on my couch with a Guinness in hand.

Smallville‘s Ashmore joins Warehouse 13
by Doc on Feb.17, 2011, under Television
Aaron Ashmore, who played photographer Jimmy Olsen in Smallville, has been recruited as Pete’s new partner on Warehouse 13. He plays Steve Jinks, a young ATF agent with an innate ability to detect when someone’s lying, who is recruited by Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) to become Pete Lattimer’s (Eddie McClintock) new partner.
If you forget, at the end of last season Myka (Joanne Kelly) quit the Warehouse – so what happens to her? We’ll have to see.
FYI, the recent holiday episode officially took place outside the timeline where Myka quit…it can be inserted anywhere prior to the season ender…
