Doctor Who audio got 1.5 million listeners

The BBC original Doctor Who audio drama, “Death Comes to Time” (that we reported earlier) got 1.5 million hits in only 3 days, according to SFX magazine (can’t find their site online anymore – info via Sci Fi Wire). Maybe they’ll actually finish the story…
Doctor Who audio drama premieres

The new Doctor Who audio drama, “Death Comes to Time”, debuted today on the BBC. The new drama also features the return of Sylvester McCoy as the 7th Doctor and Sophie Aldred (“Ace”), and includes Stephen Fry as a mysterious Time Lord whom the doctor enlists to help against an alien warlord, played by John Sessions. Jacqueline Pearce, who played Servalan on Blake’s 7, also appears. The audio can be found here.
New Who – audio in cyberspace

We’ll be getting new Who soon – July 13th as a matter of fact – but in the form of a
30-minute audio episode on the BBC web site. Death Comes To Time, a radio pilot apparently rejected by Radio 4, features Sylvester McCoy as the doctor, accompanied by Ace (Sophie Aldred), and will also feature Stephen Fry (some of the Blackadder series), John Sessions, and Jacqueline Pearce (Servalan from Blake’s 7).
