Sackhoff, Phillips join Longmire pilot

by on Mar.26, 2011, under Television

Pilot season is getting crazy, and thanks to Twitter we get to learn all about the programs we aren’t likely to ever see. But Longmire, a mystery series based on the [asin=0143036424]novel series[/asin] by Chris Johnson about a sheriff in a county in Wyoming, seemed to be a sought-after script. Now through Twitter I’ve learned that both Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Lou Diamond Phillips (Stargate Universe) have landed roles opposite Robert Taylor (The Matrix).

In the next sneak peek clip of the all-new episode of Stargate Universe, Rush and Eli try to distract themselves from the chaos of whether or not a bomb was diffused by playing some chess. In the next sneak peek clip of the all-new episode of Stargate Universe, Camile and Greer are arguing their own opinions on how the Lucian Alliance Threat was responded to, until a siren alarms. Stargate Universe preview: “Twin Destinies”

by on Mar.09, 2011, under Television

In the next all-new episode of Stargate Universe, Dr. Rush sees the shipmates have assembled without him knowing to discuss what Eli is doing with the communication stones. Rush assures them that Eli is not an astrophysicist and that the mathematics are beyond comprehension when incorporating the pressures involved within a star. Camile is clearly trying to defend Eli’s abilities while Colonel Telford is proclaiming Rush is just nuts. Rush requests the opportunity to brief the ship on why he says he has no option by to stay aboard while the rest all say they have no option but to leave. Colonel Young gives him the chance and appears to be standing alongside Rush to both Camile’s and Telford’s surprise. Watch the clip and tune in Monday at 10/9c on Syfy to hear how Rush will break down the logistics to the crew.

FYI, Brian Jacob Smith (Lt. Scott) says this is his favorite of the final 10 episodes…

Programming reminders: The Event, Stargate Universe

by on Mar.07, 2011, under Television

Just a programming reminder that both The Event (NBC, 8PM ET) and Stargate Universe (Syfy, 10PM ET) return tonight. The Event is coming back with a two-hour episode that promises o kick into high gear – and reveal some of the things we’ve been waiting a long time to find out.

Stargate Universe returns for the last of its 10 remaining episodes, but a real strong showing over those episodes could increase the odds of some sort of continuation or conclusion. It follows an all new episode of Being Human.

Stargate Universe preview: “Deliverance”

by on Mar.02, 2011, under Television

In the anticipated return of an all-new episode of Stargate Universe, Dr. Rush checks on the team as they try to run a bypass through a section of the Destiny to boost power. Slow and steady seemed to be the right road until they pushed a little too far and the plan backfires. The team tries to assure Rush that it’s just going to take more time. Watch the clip and tune in on Monday at 10/9c to find out if the team can make any progress on the Destiny as the final 10 episodes kick off and they reach the climax of their epic adventure!

Don’t forget – if Stargate Universe gets great ratings in its return (and I mean GREAT – like premiere-level great) through the last 10 episodes, there there is still the possibility that there will be some sort of future for the show…

Stargate Universe returns March 7th

by on Feb.09, 2011, under Television

I tweeted about this earlier, but I’ll repeat it here…Syfy hasn’t changed their minds about a future season of Stargate Universe (it’s still canceled), but the final 10 episodes of Season 2 will finally air starting March 7th at 10PM.

Stargate Universe canceled

by on Dec.16, 2010, under Television

Shock is raging across the galaxies as Syfy has canceled Stargate Universe, which just broke out on Twitter via Deadline.com and was confirmed by Syfy. The Twitterverse is going to burn down, methinks…I was liking SGU more and more this season. The final 10 episodes will still be aired next Spring. Given no announcement of another Stargate series, this will end an 8 year unbroken run of Stargate on Syfy, and THIRTEEN years since the debut of Stargate SG-1 on Showtime.

Stargate Universe mid-season preview: “Resurgence”

by on Nov.24, 2010, under Television

Is it mid-season already?

Rush, Colonel Young and the team debate chasing a distant energy signature into an area outside of the course mapped out by Destiny. Rush wants to investigate but it’s a day’s journey FTL to get there and Park, Eli, Dale and Brody question the wisdom of pursuing an energy signature so far off course from Destiny’s mission, not to mention the fact that the crew has had less than pleasant experiences with other alien life forms. What’s the source of this energy signature? Does the crew encounter more hostile aliens?

“Resurgence” airs Tuesday, November 30th, at 9PM ET/7PM CT.

Stargate Universe preview: “Visitation”

by on Nov.17, 2010, under Television

An aircraft that seems to be the Destiny’s shuttle appears out of nowhere next to the ship. Colonel Young tries to make contact with the voice coming from the shuttle, and it sounds like Caine. The voice confirms that he is Robert Caine, but neither Young or Caine knows how they got there. The shuttle was supposed to be in another galaxy light years away. You’ll have to watch the clip and tune in on Tuesday at 9/8c on Syfy to find out how the shuttle mysteriously returned to the Destiny.
