2007 Hugo Award winners announced

The 65th World Science Fiction Convention, this year held Nippon 2007 in Yokohama, Japan, was this past weekend, and as part of it the 2007 Hugo Awards winners were announced. A couple highlights: Best Novel, Rainbows End by Vernor Vinge; Best Short Story: ?Impossible Dreams? by Tim Pratt; Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form: Pan?s Labyrinth; Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form: Doctor Who – ?Girl in the Fireplace?

Rainbows End
Checked the Amazon page for Rainbows End. The professional review from Publisher’s Weekly wasn’t very positive about the book. Anyone out there read it?
