Knight Rider returning – again…
by Doc on Sep.27, 2007, under Television
NBC Universal, whose initials perhaps should mean “Nothing But Clones”, announced the next re-imagining of an old series – Knight Rider. After the success of Transformers (for which they’ve already announced a preliminary release date of June 26th, 2009 for the sequel), NBC wants Doug Liman (The O.C.) to come up with a new version of the 1980s David Hasselhoff vehicle (literally). No word on actors at this point, but they are planning a two-hour backdoor pilot, and wish to explore the “evil car” aspect more. Makes me think that the cars may have some other-worldly origin, instead of just technology.

Of course they are.
After all, Knight Rider 200, Knight Rider 2010, and Team Knight Rider all did so well — why not make another one?
oh right … those all sucked. never mind.

I wonder what they’ll use for a car as the Trans Am was cancelled in 2002.

Re:Of course they are.
They’ll ask all the major manufacturers how much they are willing to give to be featured, calling it “product placement”.

“Sucked” and “did well” are two very different things. In fact, where television is concerned, one often seems to lead to the other.

Otherworldly?
Of course they are Otherworldly, haven’t you noticed that they are Cylons! Look at the front of the car for God’s sake!
