Leaker of Doctor Who episode sacked
by Doc on Mar.24, 2005, under Television
The BBC reports that they tracked down the source of the recently leaked Doctor Who episode “Rose” to a 3rd party company in Canada, which was working for CBC in Canada (and is a production partner). The person responsible was fired. The premiere in Britain is this Saturday. Alas, with no distributer in the US, are illegal torrent downloads the only way we’ll see it?

Re:bbc america?
They certainly haven’t announced it. I think the hope is for a bigger outlet, but I also don’t know how hard they’ve tried to shop it.
SCI FI is generally only interested in things they produce instead of just airing rights. But I also don’t see a major network grabbing it either.

Watch it whenever you want…
You can get it on DVD! – The first episodes are being released next month (May 16, 2005): http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00095L9E 2
I know it’s region 2 but that’s why we’ve got code free players… 😉
