Sci-Fi Storm

Some press reports in the UK media have reported that Billie Piper, who plays Rose in the new Doctor Who, maye not stick around for the whole second series. The BBC’s Doctor Who page essentially confirms the reports, but says that it is “unconfirmed” how many episodes she may appear in, as they are still getting scripts. Side note: I’ve added BBC’s Doctor Who RSS feed to the site – you may need to re-customize to see it. Also, looking for trivia: who was the longest lasting companion? My first guess is Sarah Jane Smith (18 episodes), but I counted and Tegan Jovanka had 19 episodes. I’m not familiar enough with earlier companions, and I’m not sure K-9 should count as there were actually two of them (three if you count K-9 and Company)

With an unbelievable $50M take in its first day, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith has gone on gone on to break records for three-day and four-day takes, beating previous holders Spider-Man and The Matrix Reloaded. Including worldwide receipts, it has currently grossed $330M.
